1. Here I am, a regular old bass player. Throughout my career, I have met many people, seen many people, and had many experiences that I will never forget. I'm here to show you some of my finest, greatest, and most memorable moments I've experienced in my lifetime.
2. Here I am with my good friend Louis Armstrong. We have been good friends for years. We met on a cruse boat and since then, our cerears have skyrocketed from there. Some of my favorite songs I made with Armstrong. I don't know what I would do with out him.
3. Here I am at the club Hangover is San Francisco. Playing the bass was always my passion. And to do so it another part of the U.S. is very special to me. Im just glad to have the opportunity.

4.Here is Alma, Louis, his wife Alpha, and I at Coney Island. Louis and Alpha always supported our marrige. When I married Alma, they always stood up for us. I will always appreciate that.
5.This is my all time favorite song that I have ever done. I did this with my great friend Louis Armstrong. We recorded this in 1929 in New York City. Luis Russel was playing piano on this one. It had such a great vibe to it!
6.Heres a recording of me and the Luis Russel orchestra playing Jersey Lightning in 1929. This is a energetic and percussive style to it which is very similar to my style of play. Thats why I loved doing this piece.

8:Here I am with the Louis Armstrong orchestra. I played with Luis Russel, Paul Barbarin, Lee Blair and Louis Armstrong. I made some of my most celebrated recordings with the orchestra. It had a hard driving approach to jazz rhythm.

"I'm just another bass player trying to make a living." That's what I say often, but who knew what I was trying to make a living off of would reshape the world of bass playing and jazz today! My name is George Murphy Foster, but you can call me Pops. I got the name when I was in the Charlie Creath and Dewey Jackson bands in St.Louis because I was far older than the other band members. I played with many jazz icons ranging from Louis Armstrong,"King" Oliver, and Charlie Parker. I've had my many experiences in my life, but through it all, I was still Slappin that Bass!
